Where families swim in Cyprus

Family boat trips leave from Ayia Napa, Protaras or Limassol. Tell us the children’s ages and what they love — swimming, snorkelling, a cave, a turn at the wheel — and the captain plans a calm route around it.

  1. Konnos Bay

A sheltered turquoise cove below Cape Greco with calm, shallow water — the easiest first swim for little ones.

  2. Blue Lagoon & Cape Greco caves

The Blue Lagoon at Cape Greco: limestone caves and water so clear you can see the seabed — snorkellers often meet sea turtles around the cape.

  3. Fig Tree Bay, Protaras

Shallow blue water and the little island just offshore — floating, swimming and sunbathing on deck.

  4. The Ayia Napa coast

Golden beaches and a gentle cruise along the coast, with a stop wherever the kids want to jump in.

  5. Sunset off Limassol

A calm evening sail at golden hour — the whole family on the bow as the city lights come on.

Real families. Real memories.

The day the kids still talk about.
The best kind of tired.

Sun-kissed. Sea-salted.
Completely unforgettable.

Planning a family boat trip in Cyprus

A family boat trip with DreamWave is a private yacht charter: the whole boat belongs to your family for two, four or more hours, with a captain and crew, drinks and fruit on board and swim stops on the way — no other passengers, no fixed timetable.

  1. Private yacht or a shared family cruise?

The big turtle and day cruises from Ayia Napa and Protaras are good value, but you share the deck with a hundred other guests and follow their timetable. On a private yacht the route, the swim stops, lunch and even nap time are yours — and the captain waits while the kids snorkel.

  2. Which yacht for your family

For a family of four to eight, the Sea Ray SDX 250 starts from €450 for two hours — the whole boat, not per person. Most yachts take up to 11 guests; with grandparents, cousins and friends the Princess 61 or Ferretti 592 take 25, and the Mediterraneo II catamaran up to 80.

  3. Toddlers, kids or teens

Tell us the ages and we plan around them. Little ones: a calm bay close to the marina and a short first swim. Kids: snorkelling at the Blue Lagoon, a turn at the wheel, a fishing rod off the stern. Teens: jumping off the swim deck, paddleboards and a Seabob.

  4. Morning swim or sunset sail — and how long

Mornings and early afternoons give the most time in the water; sunset trips are shorter on swimming and long on photos. Two hours covers one bay and a swim; four hours lets you see the caves, swim twice and have lunch on board.

Family boat trip questions

How much does a family boat trip in Cyprus cost?

A private charter starts from €450 for two hours on the Sea Ray SDX 250 — the whole boat, not per person, with captain, fuel and drinks. For bigger families the Princess 61 starts from €1,200. Extras such as water toys or catering are quoted separately.

How many of us can come?

Most yachts take up to 11 guests, the Sea Ray SLX 350 and Azimut 46 up to 16, the Princess 61 and Ferretti 592 up to 25, and the Mediterraneo II catamaran up to 80 — enough for grandparents, cousins and friends.

Is a yacht trip suitable for young children?

Yes — families with children of all ages sail with us. Tell us the children’s ages when you book, and the crew plans a calm route and easy swim stops around them.

Can the kids swim and see turtles?

Everyone can swim straight off the boat in calm bays such as Konnos Bay and the Blue Lagoon at Cape Greco, and snorkelling equipment is on board. Guests often spot sea turtles around the cape — they are wild, so we cannot promise one.

What is included?

The private yacht with captain and crew, fuel and insurance, snorkelling equipment, towels, a seasonal fruit platter, soft drinks and water, plus wine, beer and bubbly for the grown-ups. Water toys, catering and other extras can be added.

Is it a private boat or a shared family cruise?

Private. The yacht and crew are only for your family and the guests you bring — no other passengers, no fixed timetable. Two hours covers one bay and a swim; four hours lets you see the caves, swim twice and have lunch on board.

Can the children steer the yacht?

Yes, for a moment and always with the skipper beside them — the little captains’ turn at the wheel is one of the favourite parts of the day.

Can we celebrate a child’s birthday on board?

Yes. Balloons and a celebration cake (from €30) can be waiting on board; pick them in the extras and we include them in your quote.

Where do family boat trips leave from?

From Ayia Napa, Protaras or Limassol, depending on the yacht. We confirm the meeting point and time when you book.

Can you pick us up from the hotel?

Yes, a transfer from your hotel or villa to the marina and back can be arranged on request — add it in the extras.
